Jodie Sweetin’s Bourbon Room and the Comedy Store show Family Dinner has been off the hook, and the actress thinks her late Full House co-star Bob Saget would have loved it. She claims Saget gave her some of his dark sense of humor, which has come in handy for her comedy career.
During a recent episode of the Sibling Revelry podcast with Oliver and Kate Hudson, Jodie gushed about how proud Saget would have been about her show, which she described as insane, wildly inappropriate, and fun.
Inside Jodie Sweetin’s wild comedy show that Bob Saget would’ve reportedly ‘loved’
Jodie’s monthly comedy and game show features a panel of stand-up comedians bonding over their favorite meals and some alcohol. Filled with dark jokes, Jodie believes her relationship with Saget and Dave Coulier helped her realize nothing was too much to jest over, as they did with their losses and divorce.
Jodie recalled “out-bobbing” Saget during their Full House wrap party with a joke and how impressed he was. So far, Family Dinner has hosted Lindsay Adams, Ever Mainard, Greg Edwards, Justin Martindale, Paige Wesley, Jeff May, and a few others, with more to come.
Ironically, Saget passed away after a night of making his audience laugh during his I Don’t Do Negative comedy tour stop in Florida. He was found dead at 65 in his hotel room at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, after what was deemed an unwitnessed fall.
Jodie recalled how elated Saget felt after the show, confirming reports that he was energetic throughout the tour. She noted that the tragic incident afterward was the most at-peace way he could have gone while admitting to missing him; however, she expressed her happiness about his legacy.
