Disney is already getting ready for Christmas! Disney+ recently announced a brand-new series coming to the streaming service based on fan-favorite Christmas films. The series is called The Santa Clauses and will pick up a few years after The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Claus left off.
Tim Allen is set to reprise his role as Scott Calvin AKA Santa Claus. You may recall when he became Santa in the first film called The Santa Clause. The first film premiered in 1994, while the sequel aired in 2002, and the final film came out in 2006.

The spin-off series will reportedly start just before Santa’s 65th birthday. His magic is starting to slip away and retirement is near so he must find a replacement. He also has to help his family prepare for life outside of the North Pole. Even more exciting, Tim’s real-life daughter Elizabeth Allen Dick will play his daughter in the series.

The series will also star Austin Kane, who plays Santa’s son Cal, Kal Penn, Rupali Redd, Devin Bright, and Matilda Lawler. As of now, there has been no release date for the series but we’re hoping it may premiere just in time for Christmas this year. Either way, you can watch all three Santa Clause movies in preparation anytime on Disney+.
