Vinegar is the holy grail of cleaning products and it’s not even a cleaning product in and of itself. If you have a couple of kids or grandkids who love to play with their food, this one is for you.

Vinegar works on the toughest of stains from tomato sauce to sweat stains, even those hard-to-eliminate grass stains. Here are 13 ways that your mom taught you for removing stains by just using vinegar!

Pour some vinegar over the discolored area and rub some coarse salt into it. Table salt works, too. Then place the clothing item out in the sun to dry before washing!

Soak the stained item in 1/3 cup of vinegar mixed with 1/3 cup of water. Hang to air-dry in the sun for a bit then throw it in the wash per usual cleaning.
