Bob Seger Reveals That His Final Tour Will End In 2019 In Texas

Bob Seger recently announced that his upcoming tour will be his last. Seger and the Silver Bullet Band will start their farewell tour in Michigan in November 2018. The final show will be in May 2019 in Houston, Texas.

Seger and his famous band will tour for 27 shows in the United States. He has not announced any specific reason that he will stop touring. However, he did mention retiring almost seven years ago.

At the time, according to Rolling Stone Seger said, “I can’t do this much longer. My manager is 70. We’ve been together for 45 years now and we need to stop pretty soon and turn it over to the Kid Rocks and Eminems. I guess we’re in the final stages here. When I got offstage the other night I said to my security guy, ‘That was surreal. I can’t believe I just did a full-on rock show.’ It’s just surreal.”

So, perhaps Seger just feels like it is his time to retire and turn over the spotlight to the younger generations. It could also be for health reasons. He toured last year and had to postpone several tour dates in order to have back surgery. The surgery was to repair a ruptured disc.
