Michael Jackson is regarded as one of the 20th century’s most significant cultural figures, having been dubbed the “King of Pop.” The legendary singer died over 13 years ago, leaving behind his three young children: Prince, Paris, and Bigi. Despite Michael Jackson’s fame and popularity, he kept his children away from the paparazzi during their childhood.
However, after Jackson’s death, the children became more visible in the public eye. Paris caught media attention when she gave a tribute during her father’s funeral. “Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine,” Paris, who was 11 years old at the time, said. “And I just want to say that I love him so much.” As of now the siblings have all grown up and have different passions, but they maintain a very close relationship with one another.
Meet Michael Jackson’s three children:
Prince Jackson
Prince Jackson, born on Feb. 13, 1997, in Los Angeles, is Michael Jackson’s first child with his ex-wife Debbie Rowe. The King of Pop announced the birth of his son to reporters who had gathered to get a glimpse of the newborn.
“Words can’t describe how I feel. … I have been blessed beyond comprehension and I will work tirelessly at being the best father that I can possibly be,” he said. “I grew up in a fish bowl and will not allow the same to happen to my child. Please respect our wishes and give my son his privacy.”

Prince bagged a degree in business administration from Loyola Marymount University in 2019. While he was still a student, the 25-year-old and a friend started the charity, Heal Los Angeles. During the pandemic in 2020, the non-profit organization partnered with a meal delivery service to provide food to those in need.
Prince revealed that he is happy to continue his dad’s mission of spreading love across the world and he is sure he must be smiling wherever he is. “I would like to think that he would be very proud, because I think one of his main goals was not only to spread his message of positivity and happiness, but to see it enacted in his kids,” Prince shared. “I’m very grateful that I have this feeling that it’s this collaborative ecosystem — we all need to help each other — and that came from the way that he raised us.”
The 25-year-old is a devout motorcycle enthusiast and runs a YouTube channel that focuses on his rides across California and some videos in which he reviews movies with his brother Bigi and cousin Taj Jackson.
Paris Jackson
Michael Jackson and Rowe welcomed Paris Jackson on April 3, 1998, in Los Angeles. Paris revealed to Rolling Stone that she attempted suicide more than once before turning 15. “It was just self-hatred,” she shared in 2018. “Low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn’t do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore.” In 2019, the 24-year-old sought help for her physical and emotional health and checked herself into a treatment facility to aid her rehabilitation.
Paris has followed in her father’s footsteps as a musician releasing both EPs and a full-length solo album, Wilted, in 2020. Also, she is a model and actress and has starred in the television series American Horror Story and Hulu’s teen comedy Sex Appeal.
Bigi Jackson
Bigi Jackson is Michael Jackson’s last child and was born via surrogacy in 2002. Unlike his older siblings, he keeps a very low profile. He maintains a close relationship with his older brother Prince and his sister, Paris.
Paris took to Instagram during his 18th birthday to share three throwback photos of Bigi. “My little brother is a legal adult today. what the f—,” she wrote. “I used to change his diapers. this is such a trip.. proud of the handsome, intelligent, insightful, funny, and kind young man he has become. he likes privacy so that’s all i gotta say. hbd lil bro♥️.”
The 20-year-old is passionate about climate change and, during an interview in 2021, he shared his desire to drive a change in the world. “That’s what each of us [siblings] want to do — make things that people enjoy, but also benefit their lives,” he said. “I do think it’s important we all know about it. We have some work to do, but our generation knows how important it is.”
Jackson and Debbie Rowe were married from 1996 to 2000. When they divorced, the singer was given full custody of the kids. The children grew up at his Neverland Ranch and, after their father’s death, the siblings went to live with their grandmother, Katherine Jackson.
