Everybody knows Slash from his time with the Hard Rock Band, Guns n’ Roses. He is a British-American musician, and is the lead guitarist in the band. He is easily recognized by his long black hair, top hat, and shades. ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’, a song from their debut album, was the only single by the group to go to #1 in the U.S. Slash’s guitar skills in the single spotlighted the song, and landed him the honor of #1 on Total Guitar’s list of ‘100 Greatest Riffs’ in 2004.
Slash played with Guns n’ Roses from 1985 until 1996, which was when he decided to leave the band. This was not the end of his music career, however. He started the band Slash’s Snakepit in 1994, which actually featured a few of his Guns n’ Roses band members. It was short-lived however, coming to an end in 1996. In addition, he formed the band Velvet Revolver in 2002, which lasted until 2008. When that ended, he began work on his solo career. During this time as a soloist, he released three albums: ‘Slash’, ‘Apocalyptic Love’, and ‘World on Fire’. And finally. after two decades away from the band, Slash has returned to Guns n Roses this year. He has continued to dominate the music scene, decade after decade. His guitar riffs and eccentric clothing choices never cease to please.

She’s got a smile it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything
Was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that special place
And if I’d stare too long
I’d probably break down and cry
Oh, oh, oh
Sweet child o’ mine
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Sweet love of mine
She’s got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place
Where as a child I’d hide
And pray for the thunder
And the rain
To quietly pass me by
Oh, oh, oh
Sweet child o’ mine
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Sweet love of mine
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Sweet child o’ mine
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Sweet love of mine
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Sweet child o’ mine
Oh,
Sweet love of mine
Where do we go?
Where do we go now?
Where do we go?
Oh, oh
Where do we go?
Oh,
Where do we go now?
Where do we go?
Oh, (sweet child)
Where do we go now?
Oh,
Where do we go now?
Oh,
Where do we go?
Oh,
Where do we go now?
Oh,
Where do we go?
Where do we go now?
Where do we go?
Oh,
Where do we go now?
No, no, no, no, no, no
Sweet child,
Sweet child of mine
