Originally released in 1938, “A Christmas Carol” is a story based on a novella by Charles Dickens published in 1843. The story has been retold several times over the years, including a TV movie in 1984 (shown here starring George C. Scott) as well as an animated adaptation in 2009 with Jim Carrey. In this classic tale, miser Ebenezer Scrooge finds compassion with the help of three spirits who show him the true meaning of Christmas. “A Christmas Carol” continues to remind us of the importance of love and good will toward others.
