The Princess Bride" Came Out 30 Years Ago And Here's What The Cast Looks Like Now

10. Fred Savage(The Grandson)

At just age 11, Fred Savage starred in The Princess Bride as the Grandson to whom the story is being told. Savage is an actor and director, best known for his role as Kevin Arnold in the TV series The Wonder Years. As a director, Savage has worked on many shows including Boy Meets World, That’s So Raven, Drake, and Josh, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Modern Family and 2 Broke Girls. He currently stars in Netflix original series Friends From College.

11. Chris Sarandon (Prince Humperdinck)

Chris Sarandon plays the smarmy, scheming Prince Humperdinck, who swoops in to steal Buttercup’s hand in marriage when she believes Westley is dead. Far from romantic, Humperdinck’s desire for Buttercup is all a PR stunt: He arranges the Princess Bride’s kidnapping in order to trick his subjects into waging war against a neighboring kingdom. Sneaky! Sarandon – who’s the ex-husband of actress Susan Sarandon – had previously gained fame for playing Al Pacino’s transsexual wife in “Dog Day Afternoon.” He’s also the voice of Jack Skellington in “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” and has made many appearances on Broadway, most recently in “The Light in the Piazza” and “Cyrano de Bergerac.”
