Another celebrity that went off track post success as a child star is Jodie Sweetin. In order to cope with happening in life, she took to alcohol and substance abuse and mad partying. Later, she went on to publish a memoir called Unsweetened in which she described her ordeal growing up. In it she lays bare all the gut-wrenching encounters with cocaine, ecstasy and alcohol abuse. She married thrice and has two daughters, one from the first and one from the third husband. Love doesn’t seem to be on cards for her as her fourth engagement to Justin Hodak, a convicted felon fell flat.
5. Mackenzie Phillips

Phillips let out all the truth on September 2009 on Oprah about her consensual sexual relations with her father, John Phillips, The Mamas and Papas rocker. Despite contrasting claims from the rest of her family, Phillips alleged that she chose to continue her relationship with her father after he raped her at the age of 18. Her life has been topsy-turvy and her sisters and stepmother doubted her claims by stating that Mackenzie had always battled with mental illness and substance abuse.
6.Brian Bonsall

His talented acting in Family Ties (1982-89) and Blank Check (1994) indicated the immense potential for Bonsall as a child artist and beyond. However, life went downhill after Bonsall indulged in certain activities that got him into serious legal troubles. He threw alcohol at his then-girlfriend, attacked a friend with a broken stool and indulged in alcohol abuse. He stayed out of focus for quite some time after receiving proper care. But in 2017 he was back in the news after a serial rapist impersonated him.
