The collection of images belonged to the late housekeeper of Princess Alexandra, the Queen’s cousin, and were found at her home at Thatched House in Richmond.

They will be auctioned at Littleton Auctions in Evesham, Worcestershire.

An auctioneer said it is “very difficult” to estimate their value.

Earlier this week, a candid letter written by Prince Charles just after his separation from Princess Diana sold for £360.00 at auction.

The handwritten note says he hopes people ­­appreciate “the things I try to do after I am dead”.
