Nearly five decades after Three’s Company first brought laughter into American living rooms, one of its familiar faces is back in the spotlight. Richard Kline, who played the charming and often mischievous Larry Dallas, recently appeared in a rare new photo that has longtime viewers reminiscing about the beloved sitcom.

According to Parade, the 82-year-old actor looks noticeably different from his days alongside John Ritter, sporting silver hair, a matching mustache, and a beard. However, his latest appearance carries more meaning than a nostalgic reunion. He is joining a special celebration of the show’s upcoming 50th anniversary while supporting a cause that honors his late friend and co-star.

The John Ritter Foundation shared the actor’s new photo on Instagram while announcing his participation in Evening from the Heart New York, scheduled for November 2, 2026. Kline will narrate a live staged reading of a Three’s Company episode at Joe’s Pub in New York City. The event will raise funds and awareness for aortic health, a cause closely connected to Ritter, who died in 2003 following an acute aortic dissection.

The announcement delighted fans who remembered Larry Dallas and his friendship with Jack Tripper. One Instagram commenter wondered, “Why not have Richard play Larry?” Another expressed interest in watching the performance online, writing, “I would pay big money to watch this live-streamed.” A third admirer celebrated the actor’s appearance, commenting, “This is exciting, and he looks wonderful!” The event will also feature Jason Biggs as Jack Tripper, Christine Taylor as Chrissy Snow, Bellamy Taylor as Janet Wood, and Richard Kind as Mr. Roper.

Remembering the Friendship and Laughter That Made ‘Three’s Company’ Special

When Three’s Company premiered on March 15, 1977, audiences quickly fell in love with the hilarious misunderstandings and unforgettable characters at the center of the sitcom. Larry Dallas became a memorable part of that world, regularly joining Jack in amusing situations. In a 2013 interview with Pop Speaking, Kline recalled initially auditioning for a guest appearance as Larry, a used-car salesman. His natural chemistry with Ritter impressed producers, who repeatedly invited him back before eventually making him a series regular.

That friendship now adds an emotional dimension to the anniversary celebrations, which will officially mark 50 years since the show’s debut on March 15, 2027. Ritter’s widow, Amy Yasbeck, and original cast member Joyce DeWitt will co-host the New York event, with additional performances planned for Dallas, Cleveland, and Los Angeles. Beyond revisiting a television favorite, the celebrations will help the John Ritter Foundation continue its work in aortic health education, research, and patient support. For viewers who grew up watching Jack, Larry, Janet, and Chrissy, the occasion offers another chance to remember the laughter and the people who made it possible.
