Court documents show that Mickey Rourke owed nearly $60,000 in unpaid rent for the Los Angeles home. The dispute eventually reached the courtroom, where a judge ruled in favor of the landlord, formally ending the lease and clearing the way for the eviction.

For many observers, the development was both surprising and sobering. Rourke, once among Hollywood’s most recognizable leading men, has lived a life filled with dramatic highs and difficult setbacks. The eviction highlights how even major stars can face serious personal and financial struggles behind the scenes.

Mickey Rourke Rejects Fan Fundraiser

In an effort to help the actor remain in the home, supporters organized a GoFundMe campaign that raised more than $100,000. The effort reflected the loyalty many fans still feel toward Mickey Rourke after decades in the public eye.

However, Rourke chose not to accept the donations. ABC7 reported that the actor described the fundraiser as “humiliating” and urged supporters to request refunds for their contributions. The decision underscored his determination to handle the situation privately rather than rely on public assistance. While the eviction marks another challenging moment in the actor’s long journey, the story of Rourke remains one of Hollywood’s most unusual arcs. From early fame to personal struggles and an acclaimed comeback, his life has often unfolded far from the predictable path many expected.
