According to People, looking back at the experience, Patrick Warburton and Carol Burnett became an unlikely comedy pairing when he was just 27 and Burnett was in her late 50s. Warburton recently recalled that the scenes involved more kissing than he ever expected—especially with an actress he had grown up watching on television.

During an appearance on Nostalgia Tonight with Joe Sibilia, Warburton remembered a comedy sketch in which Burnett played both a good twin and an evil twin. Warburton remembered Burnett having fun with the situation. After one take, she jokingly suggested to the director that they might need to rehearse the kissing scene again. He described her as “adorable” and said the moment was sweet, although he admitted the experience felt strange from his perspective. Because he had watched The Carol Burnett Show growing up, kissing her felt almost like “kissing mom.”
