Heart disease and cocaine use were listed as contributing factors. The coroner announced the findings on March 22, 2012, about six weeks after she died, the Associated Press reported.

Coroner’s spokesman Craig Harvey explained how the pieces fit together. “Chances are, had she not had the pre-existing heart disease and cocaine use, she may not have drowned,” he said, according to ABC7. Harvey also said the tests showed she was a chronic cocaine user. Her arteries had serious blockages from atherosclerotic heart disease.

Investigators also found marijuana, Xanax, the muscle relaxant Flexeril and Benadryl in her system, but the report said those did not contribute to her death. Police found no signs of trauma or foul play.
