Television fans were treated to another nostalgic Charlie’s Angels reunion as original stars Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson appeared together to celebrate the series’ milestone anniversary. Nearly five decades after the groundbreaking show first premiered, the actresses reunited once again to honor the lasting legacy of the iconic crime drama.
The special appearance reminded longtime viewers just how influential Charlie’s Angels became during its original run. The series helped define late-1970s television and turned its leading actresses into global stars almost overnight.
Charlie’s Angels Celebrates A Major Milestone
According to PEOPLE, Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson attended the 2026 Paley Honors Spring Gala at The Plaza Hotel in New York City on May 14. The event included a special 50th anniversary tribute to Charlie’s Angels, which originally aired from 1976 through 1981. Fans thrilled at seeing the actresses together again, especially after another reunion celebration at PaleyFest in Los Angeles earlier this year. During that event, Smith and Jackson also reunited with Cheryl Ladd, who joined the cast in the show’s second season.
Jaclyn Smith Reflects On Her Charlie’s Angels Journey
The anniversary celebration comes as Smith prepares to release her upcoming memoir, I Once Knew a Guy Named Charlie, later this year. The book will reportedly include behind-the-scenes stories from the making of Charlie’s Angels as well as personal memories about her friendships with her former co-stars. Smith explained that fans have long wanted to hear stories from behind the scenes of the beloved series. She also shared that she hopes readers will get to know the real person behind the glamorous television image audiences remember from the show.
For many fans, seeing Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson together again brought back memories of one of television’s most recognizable series. Even after 50 years, Charlie’s Angels continues to hold a special place in pop culture history thanks to the chemistry and charm of its unforgettable cast.
