The fan response at the event was overwhelming. “Cute TV kid turned into a beautiful woman,” one fan wrote, while others suggested a Bewitched remake or a Tabitha-inspired spinoff. Despite a 2005 Bewitched movie starring Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell, many feel the magic of the original series is unmatched and want Murphy to reprise her role.

Erin Murphy herself has expressed gratitude for the love from her audience. Though a potential 2024 reboot has been delayed, fans’ excitement shows that her influence remains strong. Murphy’s enduring popularity reflects the affection viewers have held for her since childhood, and the continued fascination with her character demonstrates her lasting place in television history.

Life After Bewitched

According to Parade, after the original show ended in 1972, Murphy returned to a normal childhood, participating in activities like the Girl Scouts and cheerleading. She later stepped away from acting to raise her six children, a decision she has said she does not regret. In 2010, Murphy returned to the screen, appearing on TV shows and hosting reality programs such as Craft Lab and Groomer Has It.

Today, Erin Murphy balances her professional work with family life, continuing to engage fans who grew up watching her. The enthusiasm at the fan event shows that she remains an enduring icon of classic television. Whether or not a reboot happens, fans will always remember Erin Murphy as the charming young Tabitha who captured their hearts decades ago.
