Eva Amurri, daughter of Susan Sarandon, has carved out a new path for herself after enduring one of the most challenging chapters of her life. The actress and lifestyle blogger faced a divorce while pregnant with her third child in 2020, forcing her to rebuild both personally and professionally. Her journey, marked by resilience and creativity, is now shaping a promising new future.
According to Yahoo! Entertainment, Amurri reflected on how she launched her Happily Eva After brand while navigating single motherhood. “I learned the internet basically, which is kind of a joke and kind of not,” she said, recalling her lack of digital experience before building her online platform. “I was separated when I was three months pregnant and divorced when I was eight months pregnant, in the courthouse with the belly like this.” The split from former soccer player Kyle Martino was finalized just six weeks before she welcomed son Mateo, now 5. She also shares daughter Marlowe, 10, and son Major, 8.
A New Career and Creative Vision

Determined to create stability, Amurri shifted her focus from acting to entrepreneurship. She took on marketing clients and discovered a love for interior design. That passion led her to reconnect with builder Chris O’Dell, a former collaborator from her marriage. Together, they are renovating a property in Connecticut and documenting the process through a new YouTube series, The Westport Project.
“Because I was an actress for 15 years, I thought, ‘Why don’t we do a show about this?’” she explained. “I wanted to show the process in real time, not a year after the house was built.” The series combines home renovation with personal storytelling, offering viewers an unfiltered look at transformation and creativity.
Supported by Family and Looking Ahead
Through it all, Susan Sarandon has remained a steady presence in her daughter’s life. Amurri married chef Ian Hock in June 2024, with Sarandon, 78, and stepdad Tim Robbins proudly by her side. “We met when I was out-to-here pregnant, too, which is wild,” Amurri said of her new husband.
With her family’s support and a thriving new venture, Amurri is proving that reinvention is possible at any stage of life. Her story, much like her famous mother’s career, reflects strength, artistry, and the courage to evolve.
