Rod Stewart’s fans will have to wait a little longer to see him perform on the stage. The 80-year-old singer has officially canceled six upcoming concerts in June as he continues to recover from a flu. He announced on social media, leaving many fans disappointed and sympathetic, particularly given his recent health updates.

Stewart has emphasized that the decision to pause his schedule was not taken lightly. In his message to fans, the 80-year-old singer expressed regret for not being able to see them as previously scheduled. He then reassured them that he would return to the stage as soon as he is well following clearance from his doctors.

The canceled performances include dates from his Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. He had been scheduled to appear there on June 5 but informed fans on the day of the show that he would not be able to perform. “My doctor ordered a bit more rest while I recover from the flu,” Stewart shared with fans on Instagram.

His team confirmed that the performance would be rescheduled for June 10, and all original tickets would be honored. Despite this, the list of affected dates suggests Stewart’s recovery is taking longer than initially hoped. The timing of the cancellations has raised concerns among fans, primarily because his appearance at Glastonbury 2025 is still scheduled to take place. If Stewart does take the stage later this month, it will mark his first return to Glastonbury in more than two decades. His last performance there was in 2002, and his return has generated excitement among long-time fans. Rod Stewart is also eager to perform in Glastonbury.

Health issues

Although Rod Stewart shared that he is ready to perform, recent health concerns have left many wondering whether he will be well enough in time; however, fans are optimistic that their favorite will recover soon. In a statement released late last year, the singer announced that he would be reducing his global touring schedule.

This does not mean he plans to retire entirely; however, he noted that international travel was no longer ideal at his age. Still, he often jokes about his strength and sense of humor even as he slows things down.
