At 77, Arnold is still doing very well. As he talked about his upcoming holiday film The Man with the Bag, he cracked jokes about aging, saying, “Three decades ago I said, ‘I’ll be back,’ now I say, ‘Ow, my back.’” The whole thing felt more like old friends catching up after years apart.

They hugged and laughed, and then Jamie leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. It was not staged at all. It was just two people who had shared something big, and it showed.

Jamie did not just stop at the kiss, she gave Arnold his flowers, right there in front of everyone. She told the crowd that her career would not be what it is without him. She recalled a call from James Cameron and Arnold after True Lies was shot, during which Arnold agreed without hesitation to share top billing with her. That moment changed everything for her.

She said it is rare in Hollywood for someone as big as Arnold to say, “Yes, put her name first too.” But he did. And that decision helped launch her into the spotlight in a new way. “Because of this man, I have the career I have,” she said. You could feel it was not just talk. She meant every word.
