Vanna White has spent over four decades spinning letters and flashing smiles on Wheel of Fortune. Since joining the show in 1982, she’s worn more than 8,000 glamorous gowns. While she’s known for her sparkling on-screen image, her day-to-day life looks very different.
Wheel of Fortune has been on air since 1975, with Pat Sajak starting in 1981 and Vanna White joining soon after. The show made both of them household names. Behind the scenes, though, White sticks to a basic health routine and avoids the spotlight when she’s not filming.
Vanna White has several health tips she follows

White recently shared the habits that help her stay in shape at 68 years old. She sticks to a simple diet, usually snacking on nuts to stay full and energized. She avoids sweets most of the time but admits that she sometimes gives in and grabs a small piece of a doughnut from the studio spread. She also has a go-to lunch: a sandwich packed with turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. It’s filling but still manageable for her routine.
To keep her arms strong for her signature sleeveless looks, she does light weight training, even showing it off once while still in full makeup and heels during a taping day. She also ensures that her health choices aren’t extreme. They’re just enough to help her look good, feel good, and stay consistent with her work.
Vanna White likes to dress casually when she is not co-hosting
When she’s not filming, White doesn’t bother with dresses or makeup. Instead, she keeps things very casual. She prefers jeans, sweatshirts, and Ugg boots. She and co-host Ryan Seacrest even show up to the set dressed almost the same, both in laid-back, comfortable outfits.
Fans who only see her on TV might not recognize her in public. She avoids the glam look completely on weekends and off days. White says she enjoys this break from the spotlight and sticks to simple routines outside of work.
