Worried fans have pointed out a bizarre occurrence from September 20’s episode of Wheel of Fortune, where letter-turner Vanna White seemed to glitch on stage. It was the Express Round, and Vanna was at the puzzle board as usual when she reportedly desynced from her body.
The 67-year-old game show co-host looked good in a yellow pantsuit, which she wore over a white camisole and a pair of platform heels as she clapped after revealing the category. At that moment, her reflection seemed to be walking mid-stage while she stood in a spot.
Social media reacts to Vanna White’s glitch
Social media went agog, and conspiracy theorists had a field day talking about Vanna’s eerie glitch. A YouTube video by C. Lindley replayed the moment with scary background music and a voiceover that said, “Okay, here’s a glitch in the matrix. Watch Vanna’s feet, the reflection, her legs.”
A commenter noted that they watch Wheel of Fortune every weekday and noticed the moment immediately. Another asked why her legs were still on the left side of the stage while she also appeared to be walking across the stage, while someone on Reddit made light of the situation and joked that Ryan Seacrest was not the only new staff member f on the program.
What happened to Vanna White?
Although some fans are genuinely concerned about the weird moment, others believe it was simply an editing mistake. “Surprised they didn’t catch this before air, what a sloppy edit lol,” one of the comments on Reddit read, while someone else explained that it is likely a reflection from a different puzzle.
Aside from the glitchy few seconds stealing the show, contestant Angie Sutton from Dolton, Illinois won a $12,900 Lion World Travel safari in Tanzania for answering the Living Things puzzle correctly. She also won the Bonus Round, taking home prizes worth $82,550.
