In a world where separation often leads to distance and resentment, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis stand out as role models for respectful co-parenting. Despite ending their marriage years ago, the pair have remained close, consistently prioritizing their three daughters: Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. Even now, with Bruce battling a serious illness, Demi continues to support and stand by him.
Recently, Demi was honored as PEOPLE’s World’s Most Beautiful Woman. In her interview with the magazine, she opened up about family, her past with Bruce, and how they’ve both remained committed to keeping their family united.
Bruce Willis and Demi Moore have made their children their priority
Demi Moore and Bruce Willis got married in 1987 and spent 13 years together before finalizing their divorce in 2000. While their romantic relationship ended, their connection as co-parents only grew stronger. They’ve attended family events together, taken vacations as a unit, and have shown continued love and support for each other in public.
In the PEOPLE interview, Demi said, “Regardless of what the outside relationship has been, we have maintained being a family in various forms. The foundation of making our children our priority has never wavered.”
Their daughters have praised their parenting over the years
The success of Demi and Bruce’s co-parenting shows through their daughters. Rumer, their first child, recently praised her parents during an appearance on the British talk show Loose Women. “Even when they split up, they created such a beautiful foundation of prioritizing my sisters and I that I never felt like I had to choose,” she said. “They never played against each other.”

Rumer added, “We were a family, and we still are very much a family, no matter what. Not only did I feel like that set me up in my life to have such a beautiful foundation of my own family, but now as I’m working through co-parenting as well, I feel deep gratitude for the example they’ve set.”
