Bill Murray Breaks Silence On Past Allegations And Calls Them ‘Outrageous’

Bill Murray has long been one of Hollywood’s figures surrounded by controversy. In 2022, he found himself in the middle of more allegations. For example, actress Geena Davis had claimed he once pulled down her dress strap on set 35 years ago. When Murray was asked about these accusations, he quickly dismissed them as outrageous, making it clear he felt the need to set the record straight.

The 74-year-old star’s response comes in the middle of an intense media scrutiny that has followed him throughout his career. With a recent resurgence of attention on him due to his recent projects, he expressed frustration at how the public seems to be constantly searching for proof of his supposed wrongdoings.

Bill Murray has been the target of different allegations during his career

Over the years, Murray has been in several other allegations, not just with Davis but also in other incidents. He is known for his prickly personality, as he has frequently been caught up in altercations and drama, both on and off set.

For example, just months ago, a viral video showed Murray getting into a tense confrontation with a man in a New York theater. While promoting his new film, The Friend, Murray appeared to become irritated when a man followed him too closely. The confrontation escalated quickly, with Murray stopping abruptly and warning the man not to attack him.

A movie production was once canceled because of Bill Murray

The movie production of Being Mortal was abruptly paused due to a complaint about Murray’s inappropriate behavior on set. The incident caused a big delay, and affected not just the cast and crew but the entire project. Murray later admitted to feeling regret over the situation, as he revealed that it’s something that still bothers him.

The actor also shared that the conflict was from a misunderstanding. What he thought was a harmless interaction was viewed quite differently by others. In one particular instance, he had tried to joke around with a colleague by kissing her with his mask on, believing the gesture would be funny. Instead, it led to a disruption on set, which caused production to stop.
