On the 24th of March, Meghan shared a heartwarming picture of herself and her two children, Archie, aged 5, and Lilibet, aged 3. The photo was a joint post between her personal Instagram page and the official page of her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
The adorable photo, captioned “Every day is a love story ” and featuring a dove emoji, shows Meghan holding Lilibet on her hip as Archie hugs her tightly from the other side. The picture was taken from behind and highlights the two kids’ blazing red hair. Lilibet and Meghan wore identical sun hats, with Lilibet holding a little basket.
Meghan Markle’s children inherited their father’s red hair
Lilibet and Archie both inherited their father’s signature red hair, a genetic trait Prince Harry has always attributed to his late mother, Princess Diana’s side of the family. During a January 2023 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Harry talked about the similarity between his kids and the rest of his family and insisted that the ginger gene remains strong.
He went on to express his surprise at how strongly the trait was, sharing that when he initially started dating Meghan, he wondered whether his genes would overpower hers. However, seeing both of his children have natural red hair has only strengthened his appreciation for his family.
