Phil Collins’ Children Are Just As Talented As Their Famous Dad

Despite having multiple marriages and high-profile divorces, Phil Collins has beautiful and talented children come out of it. Many people may know Phil Collins as a multiple Grammy Awards winner, who became popular due to his role as the drummer and lead vocalist of Genesis.

But, beyond his career, he is a father to five children: Joely, Simon, Lily, Nicholas, and Matthew. From music to acting, his children have followed creative paths. It would be impossible to talk about Phil’s personal life without referring to his children.

Joely Collins is Phil’s adopted daughter from his first marriage to Andrea Bertorell. She has made a name for herself in acting and film production and has earned recognition in Canada for roles in series like Madison. Beyond acting, she has worked as a producer, and has founded her own production company, StoryLab.

Lily Collins was born in 1989 to Phil and his second wife, Jill Tavelman. She is currently one of Hollywood’s leading actresses. The Emily in Paris actress is also popular for films like Mirror Mirror, and To the Bone. Lily has also written a memoir, Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me, where she opens up about personal struggles and her relationship with her father. The actress wants to carve a path away from her father’s influence, and she’s doing just that.

Simon Collins, 48, is Phil’s eldest son, and he also inherited his father’s passion for music. As a singer, drummer, and songwriter, he pursued a career in progressive rock, leading the band Sound of Contact.  He got into music when Phil gave him a drum kit on his eighth birthday. Though he is often compared to his father, Simon has developed his own unique musical identity. Simon was born to Phil and Andrea.

Nicholas Collins, 23, from Phil’s marriage to Orianne Cevey, has also followed in his father’s footsteps. As a skilled drummer, he played with Genesis on their farewell tour. Despite his young age, Nicholas has displayed remarkable talent, and has stepped into his father’s role on stage.

Matthew Collins, 18, the youngest of Phil’s children, has stayed out of the spotlight compared to his siblings. Little is publicly known about his life and career pursuits. However, he has made occasional appearances with his family. He was born to Phil and Orianne. Whether in acting or music, they continue to carry on the legacy of their father.
