Gene Hackman Death Probe Takes New Turn As Police Prepare To Release Bodycam Footage

The Hollywood industry was shaken last week when it was revealed that the bodies of actor Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy had been found at their home. Detectives have worked around the clock since then to find out exactly how they died. The autopsy results provided some clues, but reports continue to come in, keeping the matter in the limelight.

Authorities have been piecing together the last moments of the couple, analyzing witness accounts and medical records. In a more recent update, they announced that they have something important to put out there.

Santa Fe police force release of bodycam footage of Gene Hackman being found dead

Santa Fe police will release bodycam footage of Gene Hackman from the officers who first arrived on the scene. The video can help answer remaining questions, with an emphasis on how the couple was discovered. Reports suggest that officers have gone to great lengths reviewing the video footage of the several deputies who were on the scene.

However, one of the most controversial issues is whether the door was locked properly, with some stating it was left open and others claiming it was closed. The videos could clarify what actually happened and if there was any sign of forced entry.

The police department will call in their children for questioning

As part of their efforts to piece together the timeline, detectives plan to interview Gene Hackman’s three adult children. They expect the interviews to offer valuable information on the couple’s activities, conversations, and overall health. The authorities have admitted that it has not been easy to track the last encounters of the couple.

While one of their children indicated that all was well the last time they talked, it had been months since they last called. In addition to conducting family interviews, investigators are attempting to break into two mobile phones found at the scene. Should they be successfully accessed, the phones could offer calls, texts, or any final communications that might reveal what led them to their tragic death.
