While performing at a concert held at the Mohegan Sun resort in Connecticut on Saturday night, the music came to an abrupt halt as Joel took a dramatic fall on the stage. A videotape that captured the unnerving incident, showed the iconic artist darting around the stage with a lot of energy while he performed a powerful rendition of his song “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me.”

A catastrophe occurred when Joel attempted to pick up the microphone stand in order to spin it around for effect. He lost his footing and stumbled backward, while landing on his back on the stage floor. Despite the shock of the incident, the Grammy winner quickly stood to his feet and performed one more song to the delight of the audience.
