Despite his illness, Michael Bolton marked his 72nd birthday with his children and grandchildren on Wednesday, February 26th. The celebration was simple at home with a vanilla cake. He posed for pictures with his daughters Holly and Taryn and grandchildren Amelia, Olivia, and River.
This is Bolton’s second birthday celebration since he was diagnosed with a brain tumor towards the end of the year 2023. Nevertheless, he has always cherished his family, savoring any excuse that could bring them together. Presently, he is undergoing treatments and surgery to recover completely from his illness.

Michael Bolton posted on his Facebook page in January 2024 about his cancer diagnosis. He informed fans about his need for a quick surgery and thanked his medical team for the success. Even though his health did not allow him to go on tours and perform as much as he would have loved to, the 72-year-old often expressed regrets for not being able to do what he was passionate about for his beloved fans.
He also expressed gratitude to his followers, who have continued to stand by him and give him all the support he has needed in his health challenge over the past year. Although great doctors are treating him, Bolton still needs time to recover before going through the stress of performing in shows and touring again.
