As Hamill took to the stage, his pants suddenly dropped to his knees, and all the people in the front row were left completely shocked. Fortunately, the lectern in front of him was tall enough to offer adequate cover to stop the mishap from becoming a disaster.

Despite the unexpected twist, Hamill handled those few minutes with impressive calm. He casually pulled his trousers back up without skipping a beat, tucked the shirt tails in, and went on with his presentation as if nothing had gone wrong. Members of the audience, especially those in the front rows, looked at each other in amazement, clearly caught off guard by what had just happened.

Star Wars fans took to social media to discuss Hamill’s embarrassing moment at the BAFTA award ceremony, and their comments were majorly jest and humorous. “Even Mark Hamill knows that Mark Hamill is the biggest loser in the Dagobah System; he used the Force to de-pants himself!” someone wrote, referencing a Star Wars trivia.

Another user wrote to check in on Hamill, as the ladies may no longer find him appealing. “Who’s the person in the audience using the Force?” they added. Others responded differently, questioning Hamill’s well-being given his history. “I thought Mark Hamill got sober?? Imagine being Luke Skywalker and your pants falling down on stage. The Force was not with him,” they wrote.
