Will Ferrell has built an impressive Hollywood career over the years and has been a favorite across a couple of generations. For Will, being funny is second nature as he admits to not trying at all. He explained that comedy has to feel real to the performer who must also totally commit.

His rough background in a single-parent household with financial challenges also shaped him as he became aware of how to make things last. Will is reportedly worth about $160 million, with credits in his movies like Elf, Will & Harper, Despicable Me 4, and Barbie.

Will grew up loving the spotlight, and he knew how to entertain an audience. As a school kid, he would make announcements via the public address system and deliberately switch voices while at it. He was only allowed to use the PA as a trade-off so he would not be disturbed during math and history class.

Now in his fifties, Will believes he is still that confident, hilarious kid but for a bigger audience — the world, that is. Will Ferrell always wanted to become a comedian, even when he studied sports information at the University of Southern California. His mother supported his entertainment career, even when he was not necessarily aiming for fame.

What is Will Ferrell up to now?

Will’s latest movie, You’re Cordially Invited, is now streaming on Amazon Prime, and it follows the story of two weddings accidentally booked on the same day and at the same venue. Will plays the father of one bride, while Reese Witherspoon is the older sister of the other, and they both battle it out to make the ceremonies happen.

Will promised viewers a roller coaster ride watching You’re Cordially Invited, noting that it is not the usual wedding movie as it is majorly funny. The father of three is proud of how far he has come, as he recalled finding it difficult to get his comedy big break in his early days.
