David Lynch’s absence will definitely be felt in the entertainment industry. The legend’s death at the age of 78 has left a void in the heart of many who see him beyond the brilliant storyteller and director. The late star was a force to reckon with as he believed in kindness and equality and he never for once, held back on what he believed.
Following David Lynch‘s death, a lot of tribute has poured in from celebrities and crew workers he worked with during his lifetime, however, his final interview with PEOPLE has taken on the main stage and is driving the message of hope, especially during these trying times when millions have lost lives and properties to the LA fires.
David Lynch expressed his concerns about the division in the world
In a candid discussion with PEOPLE in November, David Lynch shared his disappointment at the state of the world and how people are lacking empathy and being self-centered. Sadly, the reality of the late director’s thought manifested a few days back when the LA, Palisades, and Malibu fire started, and some individuals felt those who lost their properties and livelihood to it were deserving of it because of their social status.
David Lynch also discussed how individuals favor political ideologies over maintaining true friendship. This has created a toxic atmosphere because love no longer exists, and this is causing a decadence in the societal standard as everyone now has a different view of point and take on what is right or wrong.
David Lynch said the world can be a better place if humans unite
The late filmmaker advocated for peaceful co-existence and encouraged people to engage in dialogues where everyone’s views are respected as this will foster unity in the society. David Lynch also believed that toning down classism mentality will go a long way as this will create a balance in society where people can interact more.
He concluded that every individual deserves to love and be loved, and this can only happen in a society where people co-exist peacefully without any prejudice or bias.
