In a recent interview, Patricia Heaton shared that Los Angeles was unprepared for the extent of the disaster. “I know some officials said, ‘The system was overwhelmed.’ Well, in the case of a huge fire, of course, it’s going to be overwhelmed,” she shared. “You should know that and have been prepared for that.”
The Everybody Loves Raymond star also mentioned the allocation of taxpayer money, noting that those funds claimed to be spent in Los Angeles have no results, especially in a time of emergency such as this. Patricia Heaton emphasized that residents should henceforth unite and take action rather than rely solely on government intervention because when people come together, they are able to make things happen in society. “Sadly, this is a very, very harsh lesson,” she said.
