This Jeopardy! contestant won the hearts of viewers, not because he won, but because he shared an uncanny resemblance to Peter Cetera of the rock band Chicago. Jordan Carr Peterson’s appearance had the game show fans debating his appearance, as some argued that he also looked like Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong.
Jordan went against contestants Jasmine Zhou and resident champion Ashley Chan, but he finished last with $12,000, while Chan lived up to his reputation with his first-place prize money of $20,900. Jordan stole the show regardless, being the highlight of the episode for many.
‘Jeopardy!’ contestant reminds fans of Peter Cetera
Cetera was the frontman, vocalist, and bass player of the Grammy-winning band behind hits like “You’re The Inspiration” and “If You Leave Me Now.” He left Chicago in 1985 due to creative differences and conflicting schedules.
Cetera left to pursue a solo career, which turned out to be a successful move, producing six singles in the Top 40 and two number-ones on the Billboard Hot 100. The 80-year-old is now retired, noting that touring is expensive, and he wanted to be done long before losing his voice.
A fan noted that all Jordan needed to do was grow out his hair, and people would hardly tell him apart from the younger version of Cetera. “Jordan’s resemblance to a younger Peter Cetera is uncanny, it’s a dead ringer,” they gushed, while another said he was part Cetera and part Joe Armstrong.

Some said Cetera and Jordan share similar eyes and face shape, specifically the jawline. Jordan— who is a professor from Knoxville, Tennessee, is not the first contestant to have a celebrity lookalike, as even the show’s greatest champion turned host Ken Jennings is said to look like Conan O’Brien.
