Randy Quaid played Cousin Eddie in 1989’s National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and his character and oblivion gave fans some comic relief. He recently posted a photo of himself toasting the holiday on X, and fans could not get over the adorable cup he used.
Randy’s photo featured him pouring out what looked like eggnog or milk into a glass cup with antlers on either side. “Only clean glass left,” his caption read. He wore a pair of blue jeans, a sweatshirt, and a hat.

Randy’s post has nearly a million views, and fans have taken to the comments to share their thoughts about his cute glass cup. “Made me smile,” someone said, while another shared a family photo of each of them holding the same antler glass cup. ”And it is the best glass ever,” they said.
Some complimented Randy’s outfit, especially his hat, which is likely a Stetson. Many were simply eager to show Randy they had been watching the Christmas Holiday. “The scene with you and the moose mug and egg nog has some of the funniest lines in any movie. I have always wondered how much of that scene was ad-libbed. Fantastic stuff!” they gushed.
Where is Randy Quaid now?
After National Lapmoon Christmas Vacation, Randy starred in a few movies before making a comeback in 2003’s National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie’s Island Adventure, which was also his last appearance in the franchise.
Randy has been away from the spotlight for most of the 2020s; however, he has reprised his role as Cousin Eddie in A Christmas Letter, which was released in November. The 74-year-old has been vocal about his political and social in recent times, particularly since 2020. He supports President-elect Donald Trump, who is also his older brother Dennis Quaid.
