Macaulay Culkin’s son Dakota thinks he is a movie star after seeing his father’s Home Alone movie. The 3-year-old is convinced that he is his dad’s character, Kevin McAllister from Home Alone, and mixes up some of Kevin’s actions with his past memories.
Culkin shares Dakota and his 2-year-old brother with his fiancé, Brenda Song, who is popular for playing London Tipton in Disney’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and The Suite Life On Deck. Culkin and Brenda started dating in 2017, but kept their relationship private until 2021, when they got engaged the next year.
Macaulay Culkin’s son believes famous dad is really Kevin McAllister
Culkin indulged his son’s belief that he played Kevin in Home Alone by bringing up scenes from the movie and asking Dakota if he could remember doing this or that. The toddler claims to recall everything and even credits himself for fighting off the burglars.
Culkin told his lying son to speak the truth, but he insisted Kevin could not have been anyone but him. Meanwhile, Culkin’s nephew, the same age as Dakota is yet to see Home Alone. Kieran Culkin, who played Fuller McAllister, said some parts of the movie are too spooky for his son Wilder.
Macaulay Culkin still enjoys ‘Home Alone’ fame
Culkin was only 9 when he began filming Home Alone, which makes it rather surprising that his toddler sees himself as the bigger boy on television. While Kieran is strongly considering playing the holiday classic for his kids Kinsey and Wilder, Macaulay is on a brief Home Alone-based tour.
A Nostalgic Night With Macaulay Culkin features a screening of Home Alone, followed by an extended Q&A session and a meet-and-greet with a few lucky fans. He is on the road until December 15 and will wrap up at Medford, Massachusetts. “Whimsy and nostalgia abound! Come join me as I embrace being Macaulay Culkin professionally,” he announced.
