Zack Ward from A Christmas Story resurfaced on social media looking miles different from when he played movie villain Scut Farkus 41 years ago. Although Zack still maintains his ginger hair, he now has a more chiseled face and a much nicer look than his teenage bully character.
Scut was the local troublemaker who terrorized children in the neighborhood, including the lead character Ralphie Parker and his friends. After A Christmas Story, Zack appeared in productions like Crossing Jordan, Almost Famous, Transformers, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, and Alone in the Dark II.
Zack Ward’s endeavors after ‘A Christmas Story’
Zack ventured into businesses outside of acting post-A Christmas Story. In 2014, he and James Cullen Bressack founded Grit Film Works, which is the film production company behind Bethany, and 2016’s Restoration, which Zack also directed.
He returned to A Christmas Story for the 2022 sequel, reprising his role as Scut Farkus for A Christmas Story Christmas for Warner Bros. Pictures and Max. At the time, he was already the CEO of Global Sports Financial Exchange Incorporated for five years.
‘A Christmas Story’ fans gush at Zack Ward’s transformation
Zack recently posted a video to his Instagram promoting A Christmas Story-themed event, complete with a Q&A session and screening at Emagine Theater in Rochester Hills, Missouri. “One Night Only! Meet & Greet, Family Photos, Autographs…a portion of Popcorn proceeds to Jay’s Juniors!” he wrote.

Zack attempted to look like his villain childhood character by wearing a fur hat and coat, and nostalgic fans engaged him in the comments. “You’re such a handsome man, I couldn’t be more of a fan,” someone gushed, while another was disappointed that they would not make the event because they are stuck in Texas. “Greatest bully ever!!! I wish I could go!” they said.
