Reba McEntire has always worn her fiery red hair, and it is almost impossible to imagine her without it. She celebrates the bold color of her locks and did not miss this year’s National Redhead Day, which came amid tensions over US election results.
She shared a photo of her hair on Instagram on November 5, noting that she will always love her tresses, whether long or short. Fellow country music star Caylee Hammack, who featured Reba in her 2020 release “Red Head,” cheered her in the comments.
What is Reba McEntire’s real hair like?
Reba’s real hair is ginger-colored, and Nicki Swift used Static Media’s photo editor to determine what Reba would look like if she never went red. Brunette Reba looked just as good, as the brown color blended well with her blue eyes, skin, and face shape.

The 69-year-old not only switched up her hair color, she also minimized the natural volume by chopping most of it off. In her memoir, Not That Fancy, Reba recalled having long curly hair back in the ‘90s, and fans did not need to see her face to identify her.
Why did Reba McEntire change her hair?
Reba’s haircut came on the brink of her album release for What If It’s You? and she had to hide it under a wig for fear of losing her fanbase. She revealed the new length at the CMA Awards show, and the reactions did not go as badly as she had anticipated. She has since maintained her short curls but has been caught wearing wigs in recent times.
Nicki Swift tried out more hairstyles and colors on Reba, including blonde and black. Her golden-haired look was beautiful but not as unique as her signature color. Black seemed to be a poor choice for Reba, as it overshadowed the rest of her face and hardly flattered her features.
