Reba McEntire showed up to the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards event in a green pantsuit, which she paired with a sequin camisole that matched the accessory on the blazer. The country singer wore a rather obvious wig, which could hardly contain her natural red locks underneath.
It is likely that Reba added clip-on bangs to her hair, since the front seemed more puffy than usual, however, the unusually high mid-section and an attempt at a low bun make one think otherwise. Aside from the slight imperfection, Reba looked so gorgeous that some critics accused her of doing cosmetic procedures.
Fans react to Reba McEntire’s ‘bizarre’ wig at the Emmys
Reba and her Reba co-star Melissa Peterman presented the award for Outstanding Scripted Variety Series at the 2024 Emmys, and the latter spotted a similar but more dramatic hairdo than Reba’s. The ladies posed with huge smiles on the red carpet and on stage, where they also promoted their new sitcom Happy Place.

Reba posted shots from the ceremony to her Instagram, and fans did not hesitate to share their thoughts in the comments. “You nailed it for sure and you both looked amazing!!!” someone gushed, while another pointed out the matching green details in their outfits. “You are rocking the green. Love you,” another quipped with green heart emojis.
Fans got to see Reba’s curly natural locks earlier this year as she simply wore a pair of blue jeans, a long-sleeved shirt and a hat covering her hair. She has rocked different hairstyles throughout her career, but nothing beat her decision to wear it short in 1996, which caused an uproar from the public.
Reba admitted to hiding the haircut for months with a wig until her big reveal at the Country Music Awards ceremony. With the news of Reba’s big chop going viral, she rode off the waves to promote her 1996 album, What If It’s You. Reba proudly sees her auburn signature hair as not just a color but a reminder of her mother, who proudly rocked the fiery shade.
