During a relaxing time out shopping in Bel Air recently, Reba McEntire decided to keep it simple by rocking her natural curly hair. The “Fancy” singer wore an orange long-sleeved shirt over blue jeans and accessorized with a two-toned sun hat covering her lush locks.
Although most of her tresses were covered, the burnt-orange hair nearly fell to her shoulders as she strutted the Los Angeles neighborhood. Unlike her glamorous straight signature hairstyle, fans were glad to see the country music queen in a rare state.

The three-time Grammy winner has spoken admirably of her hair several times, including during an interview with Dallas Voice in 2015. Reba noted that she “loved my red hair” because “my mom was a redhead, so I felt she gave me her red hair.”

“I’ve always been very, very proud of it,” the 69-year-old, who was the first female guest judge on America’s Got Talent, gushed at the time.
Being one to switch it up sometimes, Reba has undergone hair transformations, like chopping it all off, in the past. “I cut it just because I wanted to, and it took me a long time to talk everybody into it,” she explained, adding that she was trying to create buzz for her 1996 album, What If It’s You, as well. “I had to wear a baseball cap with a ponytail sewn in the back and then wear wigs and tail all the way up until the CMAs.”
Aside from her singing, Reba is known and loved for her gorgeous hair, so many country music fans were saddened when she cut it in the mid-’90s. Speaking of hair, Reba once interrupted her beloved glam session and asked that they “take these rollers out of my hair” upon learning that Jimmy Stewart was nearby.
“No fan has ever been more excited than I was at that news,” she wrote in her 1994 autobiography, Reba: My Story, explaining how she “took off to see Jimmy Stewart.” As her fans do, the star-struck Reba then said to the Rear Window star, “I know you’re busy, and I know you have a lot to do, but may I have my picture made with you?” and he did just that.
