Elvis Presley’s three-minute-long 8MM film showing him and three-year-old Lisa Marie is now up for auction on Gotta Have Rock and Roll. The site is known for selling music memorabilia and is set to sell the 1971 clip for tens of thousands of dollars.
They noted that it was Elvis Presley and Lisa Marie Presley’s last Christmas together, as her mother, Priscilla Presley, filed for a divorce months later. The split was official in 1973, but hopes of Priscilla spending any more holidays with Elvis were dashed when he died in 1977.

Bidding opens on December 6 and begins with a minimum of $50,000. Gotta Have Rock and Roll speculates that the tape will sell for up to $100,000. According to the auction site, Elvis, Priscilla, and Lisa Marie are in Graceland on Christmas morning.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll king is seen trying to put a sandal on Lisa Marie’s foot, and she also tries out her new tricycle in another shot. There is a Christmas tree in the frame, and a few people stand to watch the celebrity family as they enjoy their moment.
Elvis Presley’s relationship with Lisa Marie
Elvis was a doting father to Lisa Marie, who only experienced him for the first nine years of her life. Her posthumous memoir, From Here to the Great Unnknown, gave more insight into their relationship. Lisa Marie admitted that Elvis’ fame was a bother, as she had to live with the overwhelming attention.

She also disclosed a spooky detail about knowing Elvis would die, so she wrote a poem about her fear. Lisa Marie’s daughter Riley Keough recalled seeing her listening to Elvis’ music drunk and alone, indicating that she has yet to move on from the loss. Like her father, she also battled dependence on drugs, which impacted her health in later years.
