Matt’s representative has denied allegations that he is retiring because of his looks. A source said he is simply embracing what matters the most after realizing how fickle life is from last year’s loss. He has no known health issues, though curious fans are attributing his rapid weight gain to an underlying problem.

The 57-year-old is pursuing other interests, such as a California dealership for second-hand luxury rides, as his love for cars has remained constant. After a few failed romances in the spotlight, Matt also chooses to stay single and gives up on love.

He made his last film appearance in 2022’s Lovesick In Tuscany, which came after his major role in the CBS sitcom Man With a Plan. He also starred in the Discovery + documentary American Muscle: A Love Affair, debuting on the streaming platform days ago. It portrayed the history and culture of American classic muscle cars.
