Leblanc’s withdrawal from the public is raising concerns among his Friends co-stars and fans who are worried about his mental health. The actor’s last notable appearance was in November 2023, just a few weeks after Perry’s death, when he joined his Friends co-stars to pay their last respects to Perry at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Recently, The 56-year-old actor was seen outside a California car showroom, looking unrecognizable with a gray beard and noticeable weight gain. He wore a simple black T-shirt, dark blue baseball cap, dark jeans, and Nike sneakers. However, he looked exhausted.
‘Friends’ co-stars are worried about Matt LeBlanc’s recent behavior
LeBlanc’s recent appearance coincides with the approaching anniversary of Perry’s death in October. It is also a few weeks after five people, including two doctors and Perry’s longtime assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, were charged in connection with the late star’s tragic death, which was caused by Ketamine overdose.
His recent changes and withdrawal are a source of worry, most especially to his co-stars; an insider has revealed to In Touch Weekly that his self-esteem has taken a hit. “He used to be such an upbeat, happy guy, but now it’s as though he doesn’t feel worthy to be in their company somehow,” the source shared.
From the images shared by Page 6, LeBlanc’s physical appearance has also changed as he has added weight, but the insider clarified, “Nobody is body shaming Matt or accusing him of anything untoward lifestyle. That’s not what’s going on here.” The insider also added that everyone is just concerned about him. However, the source claimed his friends are eager to help him and get him smiling again.

He was the first to pay homage to Matthew Perry, sharing memories and a final joke about their friendship on his Instagram page, which was also his last social media post.
LeBlanc’s tribute to Matthew Perry was an emotional one which showed the depth of their friendship. On November 13, 2023, LeBlanc posted throwback photos with Perry and added the caption “It was an honor to share the stage with you for 10 incredible years on Friends.”
