As the U.S. presidential election continues, actor Harrison Ford has joined other famous people to campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris as the new President of the United States, with Governor Tim Walz as her vice. He encouraged fans to vote via a video shared by Kamala HQ.
Ford’s son, Ben Ford, is also in support of the Kamala-Walz administration, sharing his father’s campaign video to his Instagram stories. Ben. who is a professional chef and owner of Ford’s Filling Station, has also endorsed Kamala himself on a few occasions.

In August, Chef Ben participated in a livestream tagged “Cooking for Kamala” alongside up to 60 other chefs as they tried to recreate Kamala’s roast chicken recipe while discussing the elections. Those present included co-hosts Padma Lakshmi and Joel McHale, José Andrès, Tom Colicchio, and Gail Simmons.
The 58-year-old has led and participated in other social and political causes, including a recent charity fundraiser and healthy food systems for the U.S. Ben has always been on the scene for charitable acts, as he attended Los Angeles Mission’s Christmas Eve for the Homeless in 2012 with Harrison, who was 70 at the time.

Ben is the first of Harrison’s children from two previous marriages, and the renowned actor was not yet a film star when he became a first-time dad. He would get his big break playing Hans Solo in Star Wars 10 years later, while Ben enjoyed playing baseball. He only started to explore cooking after getting injured on the pitch.
Ben was in his twenties when he moved to San Francisco to pursue a culinary career that has now paid off, as he presently owns a restaurant and has authored a cookbook titled Taming the Feast: Ben Ford’s Field Guide to Adventurous Cooking. Ben is a father of two from his ex-wife Emily Ford, and they are fresh off a divorce after 14 years of marriage.
