In the late ’60s, Harrison Ford began to pursue his acting dreams in Los Angeles, however, it was not until 1977, when he landed the role of Han Solo in George Lucas’ Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, that his career skyrocketed. His success as Han Solo opened the door to other iconic roles that solidified his position as one of Hollywood’s leading actors in the ’80s and ’90s with his recurring role as the adventurous archaeologist Indiana Jones in the Indiana Jones film series.
Aside from his successful career, Ford is a proud father of five children (four biological and one adopted). The actor has been married five times, first to Mary Marquardt, and they both welcomed two sons, Benjamin and Willard. Recently Benjamin gave the world a glimpse into his father’s unseen pictures as he paid tribute to him on his 81st birthday.
