She narrated her experience meeting Grande many years ago, noting that the singer was uptight and snobby at the time. This was followed by her endorsement of US presidential candidate Kamala Harris, in which she referenced her only daughter, Sadie Pierson, in her statement backing reproductive and sexual rights.

She confessed that their romance started under wraps amid her divorce from Sadie’s father; however, she always introduced Teresa as her personal assistant.

Peterson debunked claims that she tries to hide her daughter from the public, noting that she simply prefers to keep her personal life off the media for fear of blurring her character’s essence. Peterson said she was so dedicated to being Elvira, and people did not view the cruel mistress as one to change dirty diapers.
The 72-year-old felt guilty for selling a narrative to fans, adding that it troubled her personal life because her partner was not having it. As she turned 70, Peterson decided to open up to the public via her memoir, which cost her thousands of social media followers at the time.
