While Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, and the late Matthew Perry were the majorly unforgettable cast members from Friends, there were others worthy of mention that gave meaning to the plot.
Cosimo Massimo Fusco played one of those characters, Paolo, who was a threat to Ross Geller and Rachel Green’s on-and-off relationship at some point in the classic. Cosimo entered the series in season one’s episode seven, “The One with the Blackout.”
Cosimo Fusco looks even better at 62
30 years after playing Rachel’s casanova ex for four episodes in Friends, Cosimo has aged gracefully as he now sports a neat graying beard, salt-and-pepper hair, and an athletic build for his age. His photos recently made it to social media, and fans could not help but acknowledge how handsome he still is.
Reddit user RayoftheRaver posted a photo of him in a classic black suit and white shirt to Reddit with the caption, “An up to date picture of Paulo, played by Cosimo Fusco.” Compliments flooded the comments, as users felt nostalgic seeing him. “Man he’s good looking. But then again he always was,” someone replied.
Life after ‘Friends’
Cosimo’s last appearance was in season two’s “The One With Ross’ New Girlfriend,” where Rachel has a hard time dealing with Ross’ new relationship and regretfully sleeps with Paolo. After Friends, Cosimo focused on film, including Italian and American collaborations like Gone in Sixty Seconds, and 2009’s Angels & Demons.
His more recent works include Thou Shalt Not Hate, Venicephrenia, and ongoing series like Iron Reign and Vikings: Valhalla, where he plays the cardinal. Not much is known about his personal life as he appears to favor a life outside the public eye.
