Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller had their twin sons, Bob and Max, in 2009, just a year before their divorce. The boys had to deal with their parent’s tumultuous co-parenting, which featured fights over child support and unpopular news in the media.
As of last year, Charlie claimed he has been raising Bob and Max on his own, and Brooke is not in their lives as much because she has personal issues to sort out. The 15-year-olds now look unrecognizable in the photos here and were spotted at their mother’s birthday in August, indicating a reconnection.
Dealing with messy parents
Bob and Max’s parents have not had the best headlines as celebrities, with the news of Charlie’s HIV diagnosis and drug use getting out and Brooke’s involvement with Matthew Perry’s demise. Charlie has taken steps to reach sobriety to become a better parent, noting that most people at his level of addiction never make it.
Brooke also had her bout with addiction to amphetamine and Adderall and has checked into rehab as much as twenty times. This affected her presence in Bob and Max’s lives as she had to leave them with her parents occasionally to check in to these centers. Like Charlie, she relies on a 12-step program, which has been effective so far.
Bob and Max now
The twins’ recent public appearance at Brooke’s 47th had fans shocked by their transformation as they stood just as tall as their mom. They wore matching black T-shirts, and Max paired his with brown pants, while Bob went for navy blue bottoms.
It appears puberty has been nice to them as they looked grown and well-built, with their lush hair framing their faces nicely. Brooke posed with her sons in a white lacy dress, and her blonde shoulder-length hair let down in a center part. Charlie shares a flexible custody schedule with ex-wife, with him as the primary custodian.
