Jeopardy!’s Monday night episode featured a certain contestant from Seattle, Washington who stood out to the crowd. Aside from his wits, the puzzle designer named David Erb looked just like the legendary actor Clint Eastwood, and fans could not help but point this out.
Viewers have taken to the internet to discuss Clint’s doppelgänger, who shares the same chisel-faced features as the actor. They also sported the same short graying locks and facial hair, one would almost think Ken Jennings was talking to Clint himself.
Fans react to Clint Eastwood’s lookalike on social media
Erb sparked conversation on X as users had fun discussing their favorite Hollywood star’s doppelgänger. “This ‘Jeopardy’ contestant reminds me of ‘If Clint Eastwood and Paul Newman had a baby,’” someone posted, throwing another actor and director into the mix.
There were “alternate timeline” jokes, while some tried to imagine Clint going toe-to-toe with his lookalike on the game show. “I believe he could beat Clint in ‘Jeopardy,” a curious user joked. A few disagreed, saying they could not spot the resemblance. “Looks more like Christian Bale to me,” a contrasting comment read.
Clint’s lookalike performed impressively on the program, emerging as the current champion. He won $30,000 after both Daily Doubles in the Double Jeopardy round, despite the tricky “19th Century Americans” final category.
Wagering over $12,000, Erb guessed Henry Adams in response to the prompt, which read, “Among those who attended his 1864 funeral were Ralph Waldo Emerson, Bronson Alcott & Franklin Pierce.” Erb went home with $17,655 after his popular debut episode, which comes after the hot catholic priest contestant, Father Steve Jakubowski, got fans gushing last week.
