Roseanne Barr is at it again— but this time with her former colleagues from Roseanne. She also called out the ABC series network for the same thing during her recent guest appearance on The Glenn Beck podcast.
Barr claims her intention behind Roseanne was to achieve unity regardless of opposing political opinions. This is why the reboot depicted her as a Trump supporter while her sister Geraldine was an anti-Trump liberal.
Roseanne Barr says John Goodman refused to play a Trump supporter on ‘Roseanne’
Barr originally wanted John Goodman to play her role as a Trump supporter since most working-class men were at the time. To her dismay, Goodman rejected the part, and no one else among the cast was willing to play a Trump voter. Roseanne was later canceled after Barr’s racist remarks online.
Barr has been a die-hard supporter of Trump, whom she has previously commended for being a good friend and leader. She claims the elites and entertainment industries do not want Trump for fear that he knows and will expose facts. Barr’s support for Trump often comes with backlash from Democrat contestants, who she called vampires at a recent event.
Roseanne Barr claims she is advocating for unity
Barr says she wants American families to co-exist regardless of differing political views; however, the 71-year-old is hardly practicing what she preaches based on her mean comments to opposing sides. She once again tried to sell Trump, saying he is the best choice for blue-collar workers.
While Barr attempts to revive her career, the replacement show titled Conners is doing good numbers and is still going strong after six seasons. Barr’s character was killed off with a plot twist reporting that she died of an accidental opioid overdose.
