Bruce Willis was recently spotted in Los Angeles, California, as he sat in the passenger seat of a car with his bodyguards. The retired actor made this rare public appearance wearing a striped collared shirt, and a black baseball hat as he made for Studio City in LA.

Sighting Bruce running errands gives a sense of hope concerning the state of his health, which has been a concern since his battle with Frontotemporal Dementia was publicized. The rare condition, which reportedly has no cure, is the reason for Bruce’s withdrawal from acting and a drastically reclusive life.

Just a week or two ago, Bruce’s daughter, Rumer Willis, assured the public that her father was doing great via her Instagram stories. She accompanied the message with a photo of her hands locked in Bruce’s, adding that she loves him very much.

Bruce’s adult daughters— Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, have been highly supportive of him and have taken on themselves to raise awareness about his condition. They are not alone in this, as their mom, Demi Moore, and Bruce’s current wife, Emma Heming Willis, are also vocal about the Willis patriarch’s health.

As Bruce’s FTD progressed, he was forced to take a back seat from acting as he struggled to remember his lines or even self-coordinate on set. His four-decade career boasts several accolades and recognitions such as a Golden Globe Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and two People’s Choice Awards.

It is unlikely that Bruce will get behind the cameras again, as his family’s major focus is to make the most of his time left. Moonlighting creator Glenn Gordon revealed last October that Bruce can hardly recognize some of his loved ones, or even read a book because his language skills are no longer available to him.
